What it is
Three drags stacked before the triplet and closing accent. The longest ratamacue and the fortieth rudiment on the PAS sheet.
How to practice it
Three identical drags in a row is genuine ornament endurance. If drag two or three starts crunching into a buzz, slow down; each must stay a clean, open double. Chain single, double, and triple ratamacues in one exercise: that sequence is how they appear in real solos anyway.

The big finisher of traditional rudimental drumming: exhibition solos, corps features, and the closing flourish of the standard 40.
