What it is
Six singles and a double, sixteen notes per cycle. Fills exactly one bar of 16th notes in 4/4, which makes it very practical on the kit.
How to practice it
One group per bar at 70 BPM is the natural frame. Accent the downbeat of each group first. Then try orchestrating the singles on the hi-hat and moving the diddles to the snare. Because the cycle is a clean bar long, everything you invent with it drops straight into a groove.
