What it is

A paradiddle-diddle with a flam on the first note, written alternating: six notes per group, two diddles inside.

How to practice it

There are three things going on, the flam, the diddles, and the sextuplet feel. Build them in that order. Flam alone, then flam plus singles, then add the diddles. As a sextuplet at 50 to 70 BPM it sounds like a rolling six. Get that smooth before you speed it up.

Where you'll hear it

Drum corps and concert snare parts, plus gospel-style sextuplet phrases with a flammed downbeat.
