What it is

Seven doubles plus the release note, typically two full beats of roll resolving onto a third.

How to practice it

At this length the roll is really a texture with edges. Focus on the edges: a clean start with no flam, an even body, and a release accent that lands exactly on the click. Alternate lead hands between repetitions so both sides learn to start and finish.
